Improving community engagement in the Humanitarian Sector

Over the next18months we will be working with Action Against Hunger to improve their community engagement practices- as defined by commitment four of the Core Humanitarian Standards– humanitarian response is based on communication, participation and feedback. After an initial research stage to identify best practice and barriers to community engagement we will working closely with Action Against Hunger to support organisational systems change and embed good practice. It’s a piece of work we are particularly excited about because it draws together so many strands of our work over the last 15 years- research, community engagement and learning.
