Elizabeth and Victoria's 2015 paper "Humanitarian response to urban crises: a review of area-based approaches" has been identified as one of the most cited papers in a recent evaluation of the Urban Crises Learning Fund. Their paper both collated evidence on Area-Based Approaches (ABAs) and provided a definition of this emerging area of humanitarian policy and practice. The paper has been described as "seminal" by the Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster while key informants noted that anyone writing about ABAs will reference it!
